THE CITY was an investigative serialized podcast from USA Today.

Created by veteran journalist Robin Amer, The City was launched as Gannett Media’s flagship journalism podcast. The show’s two seasons centered on a case of environmental racism in Westside Chicago; and Reno, Nevada’s gentrifying Mid-Town neighborhood, respectively.

As the show’s Managing Editor (and first hire), I worked closely with Robin to build the operation from the ground up. We hired the team, managed reporting objective and duties, liaised with the networks’ analytical minds, and put out an award-winning show.
